While the Main Lodge is the heart and architectural gemstone of Evins Mill - where guests arrive, park and check-in, and where many of the inn's common gathering areas are located - our twelve bluff view rooms are found in a series of three Guest Houses, situated immediately adjacent to the Lodge and perched on a slope overlooking the creek.

Bluff View Rooms
Lockhart is the first guest house and just a stone’s throw away from the Main Lodge. As guests park by the Lodge, rooms in Lockhart are the most convenient. In addition to looking out over the creek, as all rooms do, rooms in Lockhart also offer direct views of the dam, over which there is a continual cascade of water, as well as views of the pond and historic gristmill.
Lawrence is roughly 150 feet from the Lodge, while Webb is roughly a football field. Both offer great views of the creek but are less convenient to the Lodge and are further recessed from the views of the dam cascades, pond and gristmill.
Each guest house features two types of bluff view rooms: Mountain Laurels on the upper level and Evergreens on the lower level.
While Mountain Laurels are similar to Evergreens in the essential respects outlined above, they differ aesthetically and functionally in several ways, uniquely featuring…
- vaulted cathedral ceilings lending them a more open and spacious feel
- wood ceilings offering a warmer and more rustic texture
- easy access (no flights of steps even though they're on the top floor)
- more closet & shelf space
- a mini-refrigerator
- sleeping lofts - perfect for children or groups needing additional bedding
