| Spa Services | |
In addition to a host of romantic touches, Evins Mill can provide a few relaxing strokes as well, namely massage therapy.
Appointments take place in the privacy of your own room and come with additional bath linens and use of a waffle weave robe
(available for purchase as well). Advance reservations are typically necessary but we may be able to accommodate last minute requests.
Please note that because the rooms are not quite large enough to accommodate two massage therapy tables, massages are given
consecutively rather than concurrently.

Workshops & Programs
Herb Garden Tours
From May to early fall,
Evins Mill sponsors herb garden tours. Led by Susie Yelverton, a certified herbalist
and owner of The Herb Cottage, tours take place at The Herb Cottage and highlight its extensive medicinal and
culinary herb gardens and green houses. There guests will smell, taste, and learn
the background, folklore and practical uses of a variety of herbs. The Herb Cottage
is an integral part of Evins Mill, as we use herbs from Susie’s gardens in
the preparation of our meals and in the decoration of our lodge.
Herb tours - $10 per guest
Workshops in Water Color
Upon advance request, Evins Mill may be able to schedule a Workshop in Watercolors, an on-going series devoted to water color painting. Structured
with the beginner in mind (i.e. still-life and some landscape), guests explore the magic of mixing colors and learn how to
layer colors to achieve depth. They also learn other techniques, such as masking and spattering. Conducted by award-winning
artist and native of England Linda Rigsby, workshops take place in our historic gristmill.
Workshops - $50 per guest, materials included
Group Activities
In addition the individually oriented packages, programs & workshops
outlined above, Evins Mill can also arrange for a number of entertaining and enriching
group activities. Group programs include murder mysteries, live folk music, story
telling and team building programs.

Team Building Programs
Evins Mill offers team-building facilitation through its partnership with
Adventureworks, Inc.
Based in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Adventureworks operates a satellite ropes
course at Evins Mill. The company offers experience-based learning programs, using
outdoor challenges to affect change and growth within groups.
Murder Mysteries
In conjunction with Out On A Limb Productions,
Evins Mill offers a wide variety of quality entertainment experiences. Backed by a group of area
professionals, a variety of original and custom-designed scripts, and creative effects, Out on a
Limb has perfected the art of improvisational murder mysteries. Audience participation
is encouraged - guests listen to actors’ conversations and mingle with the cast. Parodies of people
on the guest list can be arranged.
Professional Story Telling
Through the
Jonesboro Storytellers Guild, Evins Mill can provide
guests with humorous, moving, or tall tales of professional and amateur bards and storytellers.
Folk Music Performances
As Smithville plays host every July 4th weekend to the
premier bluegrass festival in the country – the
Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree
– it’s only fitting that Evins Mill would offer guests live musical entertainment – be
it down home bluegrass or other kinds of folk music.
